We hope you are keeping safe and well. Spring is here, restrictions are easing so we thought we would get in touch with some news and updates that could be useful in your community groups.
As life returns to a new kind of normal and restrictions ease, face to face befriending returns on 17th May 2021. If anyone you know would like a befriender, please get in touch. Our 1:1 befriending service is for adults over 50+ years who are isolated and lonely in the Borough of Ashford. Send us an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
We are delighted to be hosting two volunteering courses via Zoom on Tuesday 11 May 2021 and 22 June 2021
Volunteering is an excellent way of developing new skills and utilising existing ones. It can also be a stepping stone back into employment or simply to a different life direction. Ashford Volunteer Centre, in partnership with Response, will help recognise skills and match that with the many local opportunities available.
Places are limited so early application is recommended. This course is open to any adult over 19, unwaged or low-waged. Contact us on 01233 665535 or via email on email@example.com
Volunteer Transport Service
As lockdown ends, we are busier than ever with our Volunteer Transport Service and we are always looking for new drivers to join us. If anyone you know would like to become one of our volunteer drivers, we’d love to hear from you! Please give Owen a call on 01233 633219 for further information.

They will be joined by the local Fraud Prevention Co-Ordinator to offer expert information on spotting and reporting scams to protect you and your loved ones from fraud.
